I would bet money that his heel was injured more than they thought as well
Went from hitting 320/360/600 to 260/300/500

Bote needs to become the regular shortstop. Trotting Russell out there as anything but a late-inning defensive replacement is active self-sabotage as far as I’m concerned.

Oh no I've accidentally hit the reset button on the gaming console! I guess we have to start the season over!

I googled; 4-6 weeks. I'm no expert, but that may effectively end his season

Encarnacion just returned from a hairline wrist fracture. He was out about a month without needing surgery

Re: Baez Hairline fracture of his left thumb
I think he should just tape it up and play. Or just use one hand to bat. And if it's the right hand that's broken, he thankfully can throw with his left. He could even just have them cut the hand off and he'd be better than Addison Russell.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.
