The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

So, will Javy be healthy by Opening Day?

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

I'm glad Baez is okay. I'm really worried about Zobrist and his performance so far in ST. I'm hoping we get the Zobrist from 16' and not last year's version.

We really need a healthy Baez if Zobrist doesn't bounce back.

I’m glad that this roster is deep enough that Zobrist can perform like a washed up bench player and the team will still be fine.

I'd like Zobrist to perform well enough to be dumpable after the season

The biggest tragedy is that he probably didn't get any time in the bouncy castle as a precaution.

Davis was with Boston when Bogaerts dropped his K rate from 23% in 2014 to 15%, 17%, 18% the last 3 years. I’m hoping there can be a similar effect on Javy to get him down from 28% to 21-23%

Edit also will add Jackie Bradley was at 28% and 27% in 14 and 15 and the least two years has been at 22%.

It would be awesome to see whatever Davis preaches knock the K-rates down 3-8% on all of Javy, Happ and Schwarber and Russell and Contreras to a lesser degree as where they currently are at around 22% isn’t overly problematic.

His stance looks very much like Evan Longoria's. Looks like he's also leaving his back leg upright on his leg kick.

I get that of all the core players, Baez will probably contribute the least value to the team. But it's already pretty much guaranteed that I'll be more excited to look back at his highlights than anyone else on this team. It'd be like if Luc Longley also threw down windmill dunks or something.

I'm not sure if I would prefer his Mom making some of these tweets, or Baez. (It's Baez.)
