The first comment is by a BFIB mentioning Kolton Wong. I pray we rip their hearts out in that last series.

I remember watching that over and over for at least 20 minutes - a thing of absolute beauty.

Wong does have the face plant though.

The Stanky leg dub over is what really made that played amazing for me.

Additional rule: you have to have one or the other. The only exception is you have an amazing board name. davell, I'm looking at you; put up a [expletive] avatar or something if your name only sounds like somebody tried say Dave as they lapsed into a coma.

"Dubbed the swiss army knife..."

Who calls him that?

Thought the exact same thing...and "dubbed" suggests it is something he is routinely called.

Beautiful tag by Baez.

I never thought I'd love the Art of Tagging.

I promise you'll like this: @MATrueblood

edit: okay that last graf is pretty good

This is his budding legacy: to play in a way that suggests everything but subtlety, yet derive tremendous value from subtle things; to carry himself with such confidence that he appears selfish, yet transform his team through selflessness; and to play with such fearlessness that outsiders regard him as stupid, yet win games with his intellect.

George Altman... [OB1]Now there’s a name I haven’t heard for..[/OB1]

Didn’t make his MLB debut until age 26 and was pretty well done as a contributing player by age 31. Played almost a decade in Japan after his MLB career was over. Had two All-Star appearances as a Cub and then traded to the Cardinals for Larry Jackson and Lindy McDaniel among others.

Larry Jackson had an All-Star season and then Cy Young runner up season before being traded to the Phillies for Fergie Jenkins. Lindy McDaniel was a 2 WAR a year reliever for three season before being traded to the Giants for Randy Hundley.

NIghtengale has Javy in the lead for MVP, if that does anything for you.
