Geez, really lol? Come on, there's plenty of guys here who bring up things from time to time they're right about. I don't see anything wrong with what Regular Show just said. Hell, Javy was an absolute lightning rod, there's been more of that with him, than with anyone probably. horsefeathers, the only other thing that's probably had more play was the whole rebuild debate. We've all been right some, we've all been wrong some.

I have no idea what is going on with that guy. Weird horsefeathers. He wrote this a while back in the 2018 Draft thread to me:

Regular Show wrote:
A lot of posters here really like LHP - M. Liberatore so I'll post the link to a recent article on Fangraphs. I still think the Cubs have no chance at him, and it's kind of a waste of time to dream on getting him. I do think his velocity picks up as we get closer to the draft, and that he gets taken in the 2-8 range.

Can you do me a huge favor and post the full horsefeathering name of horsefeathering 17 year olds that nobody's horsefeathering heard of?

You know a lot about draft prospects and you post a lot of cool horsefeathers about them and I'd like to benefit from your knowledge rather than wanting to choke you out.

I didn't even bother responding back then because someone did it for me lol. Like I said a weird horsefeathers. If I owned a store and he was the customer I would probably say this to him:

if you consider 2018 Javy Baez a shortstop, he's having the second best SS season by a Cub since 1960 (Ernie Banks had a 7 fWAR season in 1960.)

If you consider 2018 Javy Baez a 2B, he's having the 7th best 2B season by a Cub (the first 6 are all Sandberg) since 1960.

Javy with an outside shot at the triple crown in the NL, now up to 10th in BA, 3rd in HR and 1st in RBI.

Likely won't catch Yelich/Gennett for the batting title, but it's a great season.

I'm not great at math, but is it even possible for a swing in batting average that great at this point in the season?

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

But he wins the Javy crown which replaces BA with leading the league in Javy tags, Javy slides, home bases swiped, and forcing throwing errors on the base paths.

Theoretically it's possible, but the combination of the difference (Javy is .022 behind Yelich, not a huge margin but not small either) and the fact there are 8 other guys between them makes it in practice pretty much impossible.

I'm hoping that he makes it to 40, imagine in 2015 thinking Javy could beat KB to a 40HR season.

Let's assume Javy plays 10 of the remaining 11 games, and gets an average of 4 PA per game, so 40 PA. Given his 5% walk rate, let's say 38 AB. To raise his BA to .315, he'd need to go 23 for 38. To raise it to .320, he'd need to go 28 for 38.
