Ditto. Castro, Rizzo, and Garza is a good start for building a winner.

Seriously. There are too many teams competing right now, especially with the new wild card. Add a lot of pitcher injuries and not much competition on the market and it makes too much sense not to.

A win would make that three straight series wins.

There are reasons for both and there's a gigantic thread on the topic that even I couldn't miss if I were blind and drunk.

I'm not sure bringing up that Rizzo guy was such a good idea. We're losing our grip on first place.......

Like wanting to compete for one of those newfangled 2nd wild cards in the future.

Well, it's not as if stacking the lineup against lefties has really paid off for the team this year.

RHH hit .272 against Minor, LHH hit .267. If there was a game to get LaHair some at bats vs a LHP, it would be this one.

Sveum has used this lineup twice before, including yesterday. So far, so good.

if we're going to kick around the idea of lahair sticking around and playing the outfield and we think he may be more than a platoon player, i see no real harm in giving him some regular looks against lefty starters.

You pretty much have to. God forbid he takes playing time away from Reed Johnson or Tony Campana.
