@M_Montemurro: For those who picked Castro to get the first#Cubs hit, you win. He doubles to left-center field.

6 mins Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
Well if anyone wondered about Navarro's speed let's put it in really not fast category. Relay from Soler to Baez to Castillo gets him at HP.

4 mins Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
For those interested, Soler, Baez and Lake due up 2-3-4 this inning. #Cubs

4 mins Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
@EricLPauly Yeah it did. He looked good during BP too. I saw him hit at least 2 HRs.

Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
Wow. Soler crushes a 3-1 pitch from Rusin over the left field wall. #Cubs

I think, and I'm not just saying this because he just hit a HR, that Soler might be a guy whose (already high) prospect stock will skyrocket this year.

Paniagua too (in terms of making a big jump up lists)... but I could totally see Soler just mashing his way to top 10 or something by the end of this year. And I am more comfortable thinking it than I am with Baez (who I realize is already up that high), who I still worry about as he climbs up the ladder. Is that weird?

It's sometimes hard to slow down your swing after BP.

Rusin would probably give up fewer home runs if he threw with his left hand like he has the rest of his career.

Sounds like Starlin Castro doing some serious work with both glove and bat today.

Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
@CubsDen He's looking pretty good out there. Granted, it's an intrasquad game but he still has stood out today.

Baez smoked a ball to SS, Starlin made a diving stop and got Soler at 2nd is how Javy's 2nd AB went. Schierholtz and Bogusevic have HR's, by the way.

Castro with a broken bat infield single which makes him 3 for 3 today with a double and two singles. Shattered bat just missed hitting Lake.

Starlin killing it today

Nice. What Twitter are you following this all on? I didn't see a lot of that on Meghan's feed.

Game is done...

Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
Baez bobbles a routine grounder as he tries to turn the double play. Still manages to throw out Soriano at 1st but a run scores. #Cubs

Meghan Montemurro ‏@M_Montemurro
Intrasquad game is in the books as the White team beats Blue team 7-3. Castro went 3 for 3 and Rizzo finished 1 for 1 with two walks in win.
