What is nonsense about it? You're not surprised by Harper making significantly less contact than Javy Baez, and having the 9th worst rate in the Majors, when carrying a career rate 10 points higher?

Read your post again. It said none of those things. It barely passed for English
The only thing it didn't say was anything about Baez. Perhaps you should give it another read.

Not sure where to put this story honestly, but some HS baseball team just won a game 82-0. I'm not horsefeathering kidding. That really seems like you're rubbing it in and showing off.

The winning coach had the audacity to say this too:

"I’m sick to my stomach over this,” Old Rochester head coach Steve Carvalho said. “We really tried everything possible. We told the kids don’t take extra bases, no sprinting - we even had kids bunting and they couldn’t make the routine plays. We had kids hitting balls 300 feet and jogging to first.

In 2016, Didi Gregorious had 19 walks in 597 PAs.
In 2017 he had 25 walks in 570 PAs.
This year he has 15 walks in 91 PAs.

Career 5.5% walk rate (3.8% the last two years) and he’s at 16.5% this year.

Ugh, this nightmare still sounds like he's in a real bad way:

https://deadspin.com/white-sox-reliever ... 1825468317

Friday’s Astros-White Sox game took a suddenly tragic turn in the sixth inning when Chicago reliever Danny Farquhar vomited and collapsed in the dugout. He was rushed to a local hospital, where tests confirmed that he’d suffered a brain hemorrhage and was in stable but critical condition. A few days later, Farquhar’s condition has not changed. White Sox VP Ken Williams told USA Today that the pitcher required another surgery Saturday to relieve swelling around the brain:

“He’s a fighter, and he’s in the fight of his life right now,” Chicago White Sox vice president Ken Williams said. “They had to do another surgery, cracking his skull open, and putting a clamp on it. My God.”

“This certainly shows the fragility of life and how we take every day for granted. And it can change in a heartbeat. Literally.”

About PR getting a baseball team. I could only see that if Puerto Rico has quite the rally as an island in the next 10-20 years. It’s a long story, but I actually think there are some scenarios where Puerto Rico could do just that. The wife and I were doing a ton of research into moving down there. My company even gave me the go ahead to move down there and keep my current job (I work entirely remotely from home). I think it was going to happen later this year or early next year if I hadn’t been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s.

I know, right? Except my wife is (understandably so) very reluctant to move away from world class medicine.

Puerto Rico is fantastic. After they get their place put back together from the hurricane, I'd highly recommend it as a vacation spot. It's just a slightly different flavor of USA. Walgreens and food courts and cable television and all. Just more palm trees, rum, and salsa music. It's like a Latino version of the Florida panhandle. Beautiful beaches, beautiful people and excellent fried food.

We went on vacation once together. My wife has been there many times for both vacations and mission trips. Before the diagnosis we had a trip scheduled for last week to checkout Aguadilla and Rincon and to look for houses. We were going to go to the Tuesday Indians/Twins game. As it turns out the power issue would have made that trip pretty miserable with a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old.
