So, he's either Billy Hamilton or Mike Trout.

To be fair, they are only trying to argue that he is "pretty good". In that light, video of him catching a fly ball is a reasonable piece of evidence to present.

Comparing anyone to a once in a lifetime generational talent who has already outperformed many inducted Hall of Famers before the age of 28 is dangerous, but horsefeathers it we're gonna do it anyway

I was watching the game against the Nats last night and the praise for anything any of their players do well is just so over the top gushing that it's gross. DeJong made a decent play in the hole and Bader made that jumping catch and it sounded like they had just made a World Series game 7 saving play by the sound of it.

Yeah, I flipped it on and somehow was right on time for that moment. That broadcast is just unwatchable.

Their over the top homerish local media is why the fans are the way they are.

Well he's not the next Mookie Betts, that's for sure. After starting the year with Ozuna, Pham, and Fowler, they're just thrilled to have an outfielder they wouldn't be afraid to have over for dinner.

.380babip and making overall worse contact this year than last. Clearly his numbers are totally sustainable.

Yeah, but there is just something about Bader that the Cardinal fans like more than Almora.

Does Bader like to drink and drive or beat his wife too?

Hmm, I'm really going to have to ponder and study what this "something" is that Bader has that makes him so appealing to Cardinals' fans...

Honestly is there a more racist fan base in sports outside of people who like NASCAR?

I watched people on this forum make gay jokes for years. There are great and terrible fans for all teams.

Bader is an excitingly young player that is fun to watch right now. I don’t think any reasonable fan expects him to be much more than he is right now. He’s not Mike Trout.

Weird. I've been a part of this forum for a little over 2 years now and I don't recall seeing a post from this guy...

Are you seriously A.) A Cardinals fan who posts on this site? B.) Defending that terrible fanbase in all their MAGA-loving ways C.) And no one was talking about the reasonable fans. We were pointing out the stupid "highlight" video, that joke of an article that's now been deleted and the many dumb comments on Twitter. I don't know why you brought that up.

No horsefeathers, he's not the next Mike Trout.

PS -- I grew up in Southern Illinois so I'm very familiar with Cards fans and I've been to St. Louis plenty of times. I'm very comfortable describing their fanbase as being overwhelmingly White, very Christian and very racist (sometimes they hide it and mention "cultural values" or something like that). Now, I honestly don't know if it's the MOST racist fanbase in professional sports here in NA, but it's definitely up there.
