Farrell had lost the players if Pedroia's comments were any indication. Matheny may have lost the fans, but I don't think he's lost his players.

First it was Francona who lost the players with the chicken and beer fiasco, now it's Farrell. Common denominator is Pedroia. Just saying.

I almost added something about Dex and Pham but was too lazy to look for actual quotes so I didn't.

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

Dave Cameron says Boston is well behind the curve in their analytics department. Says they are one of the smallest and most under-funded in baseball.

That's surprising to me for sure.

It's an old, inside joke referring to Kent Mercker. Explaining at this point would make little to no sense. But it's not referring to you in any way.

I still can't help thinking of the song Berserk-er from Clerks whenever I hear that name.

My love is like a ticking clock, Kent Merker

Doesn't surprise me after Cherrington left and they hired Dave Dombrowski. That seems like a clear step away from their forward thinking past
