Figured this was big enough news for it’s own thread.

Geez. I don’t take joy in other teams injuries but...this is certainly a good thing for the Cubs

Saw him make a couple of crappy throws the other night and commented to the wife that something doesn’t seem right with him.

Huge blow for the Dodgers

So is this something he played through for a while or did this just occur?

He had elbow problems going back to last season, iirc

I’d prefer not to think such negative thoughts

They’d have to figure out a way to move Kemp to stay under the LT. I think Machado should be their main target this offseason though and have been saying it for a while. With Seagars elbow now maybe you move him to 2B. Could also move Seagar to 3B with Turner to 1B (until he’s gone in a year or 2) and move Bellinger to LF for the time being.

He did that platelet thing that seems like it's a waste most of the time in the offseason.

Even 7 games back I felt confident the Dodgers were gonna rip off like 25 of 35 at some point and still win the division handily, but I think at this point the Dbacks have to be considered pretty solid favorites to hold on. Like the Dodgers are still better, but not enough to overcome that head start.

I doubt Merrifield or Gennett could handle SS, and Merrifield is still cheap enough that the Royals would probably require a hell of a lot. Galvis seems like a good fit, 1 year deal on a terrible team, but he's kind of terrible himself.

Good news Dodgers, fans, the 3 major league shortstops who've undergone Tommy John have recovered in less than 11 months on average, so he should be good to go come Opening Day. The 3 of them also amassed combined negative WAR the rest of their career.

I’m going to take more joy than I should in Chris Taylor turning back in to a bum and now having to play SS the rest of the year

Dammit probably.

They also could wait until July if they can stay afloat and trade for Machado and sneak under luxury tax.
