Honestly, should probably be 2 weeks.

I think it’s only every 2-3 days unless the positive rate is above a certain threshold league wide.....

Looks like the outbreak is thankfully contained to the Marlins. I think this speaks to the fact that the game itself between the lines actually lends itself pretty well to preventing spread

It takes a few days to test positive.

I don’t think opposing teams are at a super high risk of spread in general, but we need another couple of days before spiking that particular football.

Generally, you don’t get it from standing near someone at 1b for two minutes. You get it from going to a strip club with someone, sitting next to them for hours, then spending tons of time in confined spaces with your team.

Marlins shouldnt play for 2 weeks. Phillies at least a week minimum. Probably 10 days to be safe. If you let the Phillies come back this weekend and then they pop a positive test(s) and they go on to spread it to the Blue Jays or whoever they play, baseball is horsefeathers.

Make up some of the games with doubleheaders if you want, but just proceed knowing some teams will play less games than others. And that’s okay. If you can’t be in the top 8 teams in winning % despite playing more/less games than others, then you don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. This whole season has one giant asterisk on it, anyway. Why risk it to try to squeeze in a few extra games? And whoever was supposed to play the Phillies can just play whoever was supposed to play the Marlins.

But what if I only went to the strip club to pick up food?

I guess silver lining for now is it doesn’t seem like it spread on the playing field to Phillies players by the Marlins.

It’s going to be even worse knowing that baseball itself could have been done safely but these idiots are doing absolutely nothing out of camera view and barely anything on camera

Now the upcoming Phillies/ Blue Jays series has been postponed, which must really suck for the Jays who legally cannot go home.

Just shut down the NL East and AL East for the rest of the season. The remaining teams can play it out and decide a World Series Champion*

How about we shut the Marlins down and then introduce a loan system a la international football leagues? Marlins get an influx of cash and the Cubs can maybe improve their pen.

Edit: Nevermind, I see their closer so far this year has been Brandon Kintzler
