I relish these rare moments when I am not embarrassed to be a fan of ______ .

Seriously though, good job in this instance, MLB.

It seems like Dodger Stadium would be the right choice for a new location, if California will allow it. They didn't get to host the All-Star game last year, so why not let them have it this year?

I’m sure they’ll want a packed house which I imagine means a Texas or Florida team. Surely there’s no suppression going on in those states

Right. Good luck finding ANY state with a legislature that isn't enacting questionable laws all day.

Rhode Island, enjoy the All-Star Game

They're planning to have LA host next year.

Cubs ownership situation aside, I wonder why the MLB is so resistant to give Wrigley an All Star game. I get that capacity issues might have played a role here but still, the Cubs have one of the most storied parks in the MLB, the second longest drought between ASG (since Dodger Stadium is hosting one very soon and the other is Oakland) have been trying to get a game for over a decade, and just completed a giant renovation project. Frustrating, I don’t remember 1990 and have always wanted to see an ASG at Wrigley

4 teams have hosted or will have hosted the ASG twice since the last Wrigley ASG. 2 of them in the same ballpark

They are going with a city that was already prepping for an ASG

Personally, I'm glad it wasn't Chicago. Let's have the All-Star game in a non-pandemic year where there are no restrictions. After 30+ years, I don't want the consolation prize of hosting limited All-Star activities.

How is the thread title not something, like, "For once the Devil DIDN'T go down to Georgia."
