"Our initial investigation led us to believe that Brandon Taubman's inappropriate comments were not directed toward any reporter," the Astros said in Thursday's statement.

I’m going to assume their initial investigation involved talking only to Taubman and not any of the reporters who were there.

I’ll still give them a very small bit of credit even though you know they wish they didn’t have to do this. It doesn’t outweigh their [expletive] statement, defending Taubman, calling the reporter a liar and allowing Taubman to issue an apology that wasn’t anything close to an apology. But this dude deserved to be fired so I’m glad that happened.

Really impressive how the Astros baseball operations decided to take the corporate sociopathy that exists in most/all front offices and then just dial it all the way up to 11.

Ground Control to Brandon Taubman: you’ve really been fired

It’s been easy to root for the Nats after this came out. Hope the Astros don’t get a game 5.

Chris Correa and John Coppolella and now add Taubman to that list of people that will never work in MLB ever again.

Well sure. I'm not rushing to buy an Astros jersey. I'm justing saying they have risen over the low-moral-bar that is the Cubs organization. They are awarded no points.

What did they do to rise above the Cub's low bar? They fired the taunty super horsefeathers who forgot to pretend to care. Correct me if I'm wrong, the Cubs never had an incident like that, right?

*I find the Cubs organization to be overall pretty terrible and am not trying to defend their actions regarding DV which have been bad

Yeah, I think we are splitting hairs, but Addi often forgot to care, and you know, actually abused someone...well, Addi is still, after over a year of bs, still on the roster. It only took what, 4 days to can this tard with the Stros, right? I understand Osuna is the closer on their team, but you can at least feign some kind of redemption with a new team/scene thingy. Whatever. It's all a pile of sh1t.

First goal for Bloom: Beat Freidman's LEGENDARYZ 38% drop in payroll while with the Doyers

I can totally see how the BVW situation will play out with the Mets...They'll suck next year at the ML level, he'll get canned, everyone will have a good laugh over daring to spend money, and some new $/WAR hire who is totally woke and with it will get to ride Ronny Mauricio into The Future under a new more outwardly and inwardly owner friendly org structure that the MLB will approve of and award with some success
