Bunch of big names on the ballots this year, which have just gone out to voters.

TRIVIA: Name the five players all-time who stole more than 800 bases. (Hint: four of them are currently in the Hall of Fame)

EDIT: Here's the ballot for this year: http://www.baseball-reference.com/awards/hof_2013.shtml

People in Houston are in a [expletive] about Biggio maybe not being a 1st ballot HOF. Personally I don't think he is. It's fun to [expletive] with them though.

Tim Raines and Alan Trammell make me angry every year and this will be no different.

So let's all pretend we're BBWAA members and share our ballots

Barry Bonds
Roger Clemens
Mike Piazza
Sammy Sosa
Mark McGwire
Craig Biggio
Jeff Bagwell
Larry Walker
Edgar Martinez
Tim Raines

If it wasn't such a stacked ballot, I'd throw a vote Todd Walker's way just for being hot and awesome

It's too bad there aren't 30 spots so I could chose more people who aren't jack Morris

OMC, has there been such a strong HOF pool ever before?

There were like 36 eventual HOFers on the '62 ballot, but a lot of those guys probably don't belong.

It's pretty hard for me to care about the Hall of Fame at this point. It would still be fun to see the museum but as far as caring about the honor, yeah, I don't really do that anymore.

agreed. at this point, i only care to the extent that i imagine the players would like to get in and are sad that they are being arbitrarily disallowed.

Yeah, same here. Getting worked up over a player's inclusion/exclusion just empowers the dopey writers anyway, and at its most basic level it's just a museum, like you mention.

I more root against people from getting in than hope for guys to get in. With every ballot update I see at BTF, the first thing I look for is how Jack Morris's totals have changed.

I'm a little shocked Piazza isn't receiving more votes. Figured he'd be a shoo-in given his offensive accomplishments at that position.

Hard to imagine. This pool is absurd.

The only person I ever passionately cared about entering the HOF was Santo, and that they waited to enshrine him posthumously will always make the HOF a joke in my mind.

F this guy.

Howard Bryant of ESPN wrote:
As it turned out, I sent my 2013 Hall of Fame ballot in blank. This wasn’t science. It wasn’t a clever attack in the three-front culture war among the players, the SABR s and the BBWAAs. It wasn’t a protest, either. It was just one voter’s inability to reach a comfortable verdict on a colossal mess that for years no one wanted to take responsibility for and that isn’t going to get any less complicated as time goes on.
