On an extremely cheap 1 year deal, maybe. But there’s a lot of other FA SPs who won’t cost much I’d prefer over him. Hell I’d have more interest in bringing Q and/or Chatwood (depending on the severity of his injury/if he needs surgery) back on 1 year deals over him. I’m actually pretty interested in Q for 1 year next year for a semi reliable/inning eating rotation spot.

I’m not particularly in favor of bringing in Arrieta. Barring something unforeseen, I could see a Drew Pomeranz’s 2018 deal ($1.5 mil guaranteed with a chance to be up to $5 mil in salary based on incentives) for Jake. Maybe a team like the Rangers takes a chance or there’s interest in him as a reliever. Overall I agree that there’s other pitchers I’d rather take a chance on.

The shots of him in the dugout talking to the coaches and trainer made it look like an injury discussion more than just pulling him

Mets fans caused this by awarding him the Cy Young weeks ago

This could effectively end their window. They needed him to be his regular awesome self. Springer and Brantley FA this offseason, Correa the one after.

https://www.mlb.com/news/dustin-may-inj ... ight-elbow

Dodgers phenom Dustin May was found to have some damage to the UCL in his right elbow, a source told MLB.com reporter Jon Paul Morosi. The team, which has not commented on the report, is expected to make the official decision on how to proceed in the next 24 hours.

May landed on the injured list after leaving early during Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Brewers. May was in the middle of an at-bat with two outs in the second inning when he visibly winced and signaled for the athletic trainer after throwing a pitch. Manager Dave Roberts described it as a “shooting sensation” in the right-hander’s pitching elbow.

They updated the article to say he's getting Tommy John surgery.
