I really love that he did that after striking out three times in the first game of the DH. Says good things about what he's got going on between the ears.

How much more does Daniel Descalso have to make me miss Aaron Miles before we get a look at Robel Garcia?

Aaron Miles! Ha! That's a blast from the past.

Unfortunately, I think it's going to take an injury to Descalso or one of the other Cubs infielders before we see Garcia. But if he keeps this up:

222 PAs, 9 doubles, 1 triple, 17 HRs, 50 RBI, 304/.387/.624

...who knows.

The K% is a little concerning at 29.7% (he's improved a bit to 25% in his last 7 games), but if he can hit anywhere close to what he is now in the bigs, say .270/.340/.470, I'll live with the Ks. Garcia still leads the Tennessee Smokies in HRs despite not playing there since May 8th (which is also an indictment of the rest of the Smokies roster), and is tied for the most HRs in Iowa with Ian Happ in less than half the plate appearances.

All this from a guy who hasn't played pro ball in the states since 2013. 2013! I was still married in 2013!
