Brooks still can't crack the AAA code

Faced 6 batters, allowed 2 dongs, a double, and a single, no Ks

I guess today's a decent day to check up on the DSL teams...The pitching's been ugly but there's a few bats:

Yohendrick Pinango OF (17, 5/7/02) - Hitting .377/.459/.472 with 6 SBs, more walks than Ks, and an 11% K rate in 71 PAs, listed as one of BA's 12 sleepers in the 2018 IFA class

Rafael Morel IF (17, 11/22/01) - .354/.433/.638 with a 9% K rate in 70 PAs, leads the DSL Cubs with 2 HRs, Christopher's brother

Ezequiel Alvarez OF (17, 4/10/02) - Switch hitting CF is at .357/.413/.452 with an 11% K rate in 47 PAs

Malcom Quintero C (18, 7/29/00) - Picked up his first K today in 25 PAs, hitting .333, repeating. Fellow C Pablo Aliendo C (18, 5/29/01) is doing alot better his second go too

Barnette with his 8th straight scoreless appearance in Iowa, he doesn’t have a ton of time left on the 60 day/his rehab time before he needs to be added back to the 40-man (there’s plenty of guys to not care about losing for him so that’s not a big deal, Randy, Collins, Zagunis, Webster to name a few). Would like to see Barnette get a chance sooner than later here (phantom IL Brach or something), he impressed in spring IIRC.

9Ks, 1BB and 1H over that 8 game stretch for him.

A couple Cubs in the MWL AS game already...Thompson threw the second inning with a hit and a K, Marquez gave up a double to Brice Turang before being pulled in the third. CW11 posted JJ Cooper's 100 MPH read for Marquez

He has been really good lately. The addition of healthy Barnette and Kimbrel would allow Strop to go on the IL again for as long as he needs.
