No problem.

Has anyone heard much about how Whitenack was looking at Daytona? I've still held onto hope that he'd be a back end type guy for the rotation.

I haven't seen reports on him but I generally give pitchers a mulligan on their first year back from TJS.

To me, the low walk rate is the best thing about his numbers so far.

Szczur went 0-4, alcantara went 0-2, but walked twice, and Torreyes went 2-4 with a double. In other noteworthy news, Dustin Geiger hit a homer in the top of the 1st for Peoria, his 4th. It's still a tad under 100 at bats, but he was OPSing over .800 before the homer tonight. He's 20 all season long. While we probably were all kind of paying attention to him, maybe it's time to REALLY pay attention to him. He was Florida's HS player of the year when we drafted him, gave him a six figure bonus, and he's hitting well at this point.

Woof.

So would it be outrageous to want to see Jensen at Daytona sometime soon?

Might be onto something there. He just hit his second HR of the night and 5th on the year (in 88 AB).

He did sneak an RBI single at the end today, though.

Brett with a K, Vitters with a single for their 1st at bats. DSL1 saw Rodriguez go 5, give up 1 hit, 2 walks, and 4 K's. ERA down to 1.16.

Speaking of whom, Vitters just took a walk from crafty lefty Doug Davis. That was his 21st on the year. His career best at any level was 22 last season.

If Vitters finish the season with around these numbers - what is the perception of him?

Potentially starting 3rd baseman next season? Or let him start next season again in Iowa and call him up after a few months like Rizzo?

If he keeps this up, I imagine he'll get a cup of coffee in September after Iowa wraps up and then have a chance to compete with Stewart or whomever in ST.

I am getting giddy about Vitters.

I guess we can almost say for sure we have the solution at 3B in our system.. Either Vitters, Baez, or Candelario.
