Releasing the Comey memos appears to be a bit of a misstep by the GOP. I haven't an idea what they are thinking. I suppose it's a good thing for them their 40% don't read or get information unfiltered.

I think this summed up the rationale fairly well:

Nice to see someone, anyone, admit they acted as Russian bot messaging multipliers. Nate Silver tweeted his continued dismay over journalists' inability/unwillingness to acknowledge they chose narrative over fact by justifying their coverage based on reading polling in a deterministic manner.

Reading even secondhand accounts from the right wing fever swamps gives me a migraine. I used to occasionally watch Fox News & listen to right wing radio in an attempt to consume differing points of view. I just can't do it anymore. They have jumped the shark; they have bludgeoned & butchered it too.

Trump is the perfect hood ornament for the GOP. These people are never to be taken seriously again.

this dude has the worst horsefeathering poker face...

Michael cohen who is a great, great, great and very smart man would never flip against me because he is such a dear, great and dare I say handsome man but it's not like he would have anything to flip about because I've done nothing wrong at all but you know how sometimes they get people to lie or whatever to save themselves but my friend Michael (probably my best friend who I would love to hang out with after all this blows over) would never do that because he is such a great man wth a great family, members of which I can definitely identify by name.

Yeah, my worry with this now is that he's able to walk away with something he can obnoxiously trumpet as a "win" and solidifies his Republican support, but it's actually just him being an idiot and giving the NK everything they want (which is ultimately sanction relief and time before doing this all over again down the line).

That's the best outcome we can hope for. Trump is not a long term thinker (duh), he's not going to push them for years of Iran style inspections and obtrusive verification needed to achieve what he thinks he's going to achieve. Also, he's likely to sell out security for Japan. No matter what happens, the GOP are going to act like this is Nixon/China.

How pissed is Trump at Melania for sitting next to Obama and getting caught smiling from a scale of 0 to calling ICE?
