"unhappy," "the rooster" and "last call" were my jams back then.

The eventual Mrs. and I used to do a lot of boofing to the Love Below back then. ...did I use that word right?

Last I heard from RJD2 was the Third Hand, which was pretty awful in comparison to his first 2 gems.

more is than isn't is a solid album. deadringer sounds like a poor man's dj shadow record (there was a reason why people called him "r josh davis 2") but it still bangs. he gets a lifetime pass for "a beautiful mine," though.

Yeah, but then DJ Shadow also stopped sounding like DJ Shadow, so kinda wish RJD2 had kept the knockoff thing going.

autobiography by jlin is on my list of favorite albums for 2018. she's a producer out of gary, indiana and this is, technically, her 3rd album. it's the score for a london ballet. footwork, ambient textures and experimental beats. love it!

I might give it another chance, but I stopped this one because I hate the sound choices they made. That synth sound is probably my least favorite.

I was confused why this was being called their debut album when I thought I heard that last year but apparently an 8-track thing doesn't qualify. Anyway, I enjoyed these guys but it seemed obvious they wouldn't have much staying power with the whole Zepellin gimmick. But I'll probably listen to this album.

Maybe I'm insane but I didn't care for the EP much because it was too much of a Zep copy for me while the new one seems to my ears to be more Zep inspired, which is cool. In other words, they seem to be progressing as musicians and finding their own way. But what the hell do I know?

They're the new The Darkness/The Music/Jet/Wolfmother. They're basically made of farts and yowling.

But they're being publicized as the group "that is bringing rock n' roll back"
