The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

D.A.V.I.D. ERROR REPORTING SYSTEM

the pre-cognition tech we implanted is absolutely not ready for public consumption, this parenthetical could ruin the whole project! total system shutdown until this is resolved.

Got my two Isbell tickets for tomorrow night in Milwaukee stolen off my (Chicago) front porch this morning after they got delivered by UPS. Had paid up on Stubhub for 6th row, now I'm stuck buying tickets way up and in the back. Hoping I can find a nice security guard, show him my original purchase, and see if they'll let us go to the seats I originally bought. Anyone have any experience/insight on if that'll work? I highly doubt the kind of people who steal UPS packages are going to be able to flip hard versions of a Milwaukee alt-country show in 36 hours.

Can you call Stubhub and or the venue and report them stolen? They should reissue you the same seats with different bar codes.

Called Stubhub and they were going to buy me two more tickets of similar value, but the only tickets I had seen on there when I bought them were hard tickets. Stubhub uses 2 day shipping through UPS, so with the show tomorrow, they didn't have any available. Apparently they couldn't reissue as they never had the tickets in the first place, just facilitated the sale.

They gave me a full refund, so not all bad. Worst case I end up with terrible seats, best case I can find a friendly security guard and have really good seats for cheap.

Radiohead should win this lawsuit rather quickly. This is even more egregious than that country song from a years back that won all those song of the year awards yet was a blatant ripoff of Eye in the Sky.

Interesting to note that since the Hollies are now given songwriting credit for Creep, they’ll get a cut of whatever Radiohead wins.

Except Radiohead's publishers say there is no lawsuit.

This is that country one. My wife listens to country sometimes *shiver*, and I remember driving down the road and this song came on and I just started shaking my head, saying "they are so gonna get sued", but Parsons never did. I do wonder what percentage of these are truly honest mistakes. That Lana Del Ray song and this one make me wonder if they really are just mistakes/coincidences because they are just so blatantly similar that it would take a hell of a lot of balls and dishonesty to put them out otherwise.

The name "Lady Antebellum" will never fail to be forehead-smackingly ridiculous.
