Speaking of hotels, I've only stayed in a hotel in Chicago once and it was in the loop and cost a fortune. I usually drive back up to Milwaukee but doubt that will happen after the concert. Can anyone recommend a hotel within a 10-15 minute cab /transit ride from Wrigley that won't get me murdered or cost more than $150ish?

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

Ye olde Days Inn on Diversey/Clark/Broadway is always your best bet along those lines if they have anything available.

i was thinking there or maybe hotel lincoln, but i doubt there's any chance he gets near that rate for the saturday. maybe monday.

from what i looked up, congress hotel would get him near that rate for saturday, but, incidentally, someone was literally just robbed at gunpoint there.

i've stayed at the congress hotel twice. supposedly it is haunted. i went to bed with the bathroom door closed and I woke up to it wide open and the faucet dripping. strange stuff. both times i was there, the hotel was probably 20% full and workers were picketing outside the main entrance. i have no idea how they stay in business.

I'm not sure why he posted this, but him wanting Flair and Hogan at his listening party/clothing line thing is the greatest thing ever.

Saturday, thanks for the input everyone. I'll take a look at the Days Inn, Congress, and hotel Lincoln.

Last year I was all about it to see The National, Spoon, Sturgill Simpson. My wife went begrudgingly.

I sent her the lineup with a "meh" and she was excited about Badu and Jenny Lewis.

So maybe we will be going...

Got a pair for Monday's PJ show at Wrigley too. Neither show are great seats but I will be in the building.
