I need to give it more spins. My initial impression was "this is really good, but if it was an official Kendrick album, I'd be a little let down." I fully expect to love it soon

He's going to have legitimate claim for GOAT. He has no weaknesses.

The verse he does in Pray for Me is legit one of the best things I've ever heard.

Did I see that he got an EP credit for Black Panther, too?

I'm giving you my first impression of 1 1/2 listens while doing other things. I'll load it up on my phone and put it on for my commute and I'm sure my impressions will improve.

That new Janelle Monae song, Make Me Feel, sounds like Prince and I love it.

I'm only posting this link because of the first line....

Emptiness is loneliness, and loneliness is cleanliness, and cleanliness is godliness, and God is empty, just like thousands of seats for the upcoming Smashing Pumpkins reunion tour.

Pretty much everyone here knows how much I love the Smashing Pumpkins, but I had serious, serious reservations about them doing an arena tour. I picked up 5th row floor tickets in KC when they went on sale because I know this is probably the last time I'll get to see them (I've only seen them one other time, in 2007), but there are still floor tickets left and it's been 3 days since they went on sale. We're looking at probably a pretty bare arena. I'm hoping they move some of these shows to theaters/smaller venues if they don't sell better, but I could see Billy freaking out and canceling the thing entirely. Arena + tickets that are way too expensive doesn't bode well for this one.

Corgan's ego is still as hilariously giant as ever if he thought they could pull off horsefeathering arena shows in 2018. What a loon.

I'm a little bit late on this because I don't have much of an interest in social media but after Black Thought's incredible appearance on Funk Flex I'm glad people are finally starting to put him in the upper echelon of lyricists. IMO he's always checked every box emphatically.

Yeah, it's part of a year of "Hamildrops"; last year Miranda put out the Hamilton Mixtape, which was a collection of covers and songs inspired by Hamilton. This year, he's putting out one song per month instead. The Weird Al song joins a Decemberists track and remix of one of the Mixtape tracks
