Yeah, it appears that he's the first that figured it out organically, and not through some sort of manipulation from Ford or Arnold.

Spoiler: show
In chatting with the Still Watching podcast, McClarnon revealed that the sweeping vistas and largely dialogue-less scenes in “Kiksuya” were influenced by director Terrence Malick, who explored another, more famous Native story in 2005’s The New World. McClarnon says Malick’s lyrical 1998 war film The Thin Red Line was an even more direct influence on his approach.

I got that same Malick vibe, but didn't say anything because abuck would swoop in from some Iowa Gold's Gym and tell me why I'm wrong

I wish I could say something profound, but all I can say is, yeah, that episode was amazing.

I'd seen the actor that plays Akecheta in some other things (Fargo, Longmire) and didn't think twice about him, but the guy obviously needs more leading roles.

I think its easy to play an angry-murder-guy. I have a friend from high school who appears in random things and angry-murder-guy been his role almost exclusively because he isn't a very good actor. What McClarnon did in that last episode was an entirely different thing.

I like the presence of Obi-Wan Fordnobe but I feel like it explains everything too neatly. It will be disappointing if most of this has been going according to his plan the whole time. Feels like he should be more worried about Delores than he is, too.

Right. If everything we've seen is just a pre-scripted thing by Ford that would be LAAAAAMMMEEEE

I mean, not everything, certainly. He acknowledged that Ake surprised him and of course flat out said Maeve deviated from her "escape" script. He gave her the admin power to do that, though.

I'm torn because I'm pretty sure he's bent on destroying the valley beyond, which obviously happens, but he also really wants Ake and co to GTFO ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just read the EW.com recap of the episode, and the writer seems pretty sick of Ford this season. I wonder if that's a widespread sentiment right now

So I'm thinking the Emily that William killed actually is a host/human (or whatever we are calling them) as he suspects that she is. He stops before cutting her open so we don't find out that way and also they didn't show us what her "system scan" result was like we did with William; they just showed the guy doing the test on her but not the result. William certainly thinks he killed his actual daughter because of the data card, but I'm not so sure.

I think the fact that he lets her get up after he scans her and doesn't do anything is enough "proof" she is human.

Watch the scene again. The guy is still looking at it and she is still on her knees when William grabs the gun.

I had to watch the scene where William's wife scans his ID card several times to figure out that it wasn't telling us that he's a host

well at the bar ford basically said what was on it

i thought all the ed harris creeping darkness stuff was kind of lame, and is kind of a weak way to explain the change from young william into murdery bad guy

Someone please let me know when Topher Grace or someone re-edits this season in a linear timeline. I haven’t the slightest idea what is happening. It’s just too ponderous for me.

That episode screams "season 3 coming soon," especially if you stuck around past the credits that rolled after the false ending.
