You gotta let that copaganda marinate for awhile

The police state bootlickers reveal themselves at some point. Not always, but sometimes. Warms the heart when it happens.

Reading the replies to the tweets from the bootlickers was disheartening and dumbfounding.

Ironically, in my experience, the best cops ARE former military. The cops you are talking about are soldier-wannabees, whom I think make up the vast majority of police forces. I've been dealing with LEO's on a weekly basis now for over a decade and the former military ones are generally the calmest and have the coolest heads; they know what actual danger is and they've had much, much more training than a regular cop off the streets.

Ex-military only comprise around 20% of the police force, but they are 3x more likely to draw their weapon than their non-military counterparts.

Maybe the actual stats show me being way wrong, and that’s fine, I’ll accept stats over anecdotal evidence, but I just know that the combat vets that I deal with in our local police and sheriff’s department are much better than the ones who aren’t.

A church was offered as a safe haven for protesters after 9:00, complete with sandwiches and drinks. Police surrounded the church, waiting to arrest those who left church property (houses of worship are exempt from curfews). Eventually it was negotiated that those inside could leave, as long as they stayed on the sidewalks and didn't obstruct traffic.

This city is horsefeathers.

The Texas Rangers are investigating the shooting

I'm picturing Elvis Andrus talking Adrian Beltre out of retirement to solve one last crime together.

But at the end of the day, it's just a piece of paper. The school system has been amazing for the most part, but it just takes one school employee making one bad choice on one bad day.

I have about a dozen stories where I've been called in to consult by a school district for a behavior plan for a child with ASD because the school did something egregious and are trying to avoid a law suit.

In one case a newly hired, highly valued football coach (making more than the superintended) tackled a middleschool kid who eloped the classroom and held him on the ground for 45 minutes while the child was having a meltdown.

During the meeting the coach came in big dicking everyone about how the school needed to kick the kid out of school and have better discipline policy. The district lawyer looked at him and said, "I don't think you understand, at the current time you are fired and we are trying to save your job."

I do not do any school consultation because they can't seem to follow a behavior intervention plan.

 All I know is don't you dare talk about partially re-allocating police budget. They are so vital. For stopping crime and stuff.
