Mainly the weekly shows don't fit because Netflix is horrendous about actually successfully promoting about 95% of their programming. The vast majority of them just kind of exist in the ether until you stumble across them or see them written up somewhere.

That said, cancelling the delightful nu-The Soup already seems a tad presumptuous since it probably costs, what, next to nothing to make, and could have actually served as a promotional tool for other Netflix shows.

yep. my wife has been home with the new baby for two months and watches netflix constantly and I had never heard of either of these shows. it seems unless a unique netflix property goes viral on its own a la bird box or stranger things, you'll never hear about them

Heck, there are shows I actually like that I don't realize there's a new season of. Just realized last night that there's a series of Nailed It! holiday episodes and they'd been out for about a month already.

the ipad app gives me notifications of new seasons (often after I've already watched them), but I only see those because I download crap on there when I fly. I'd never know about new stuff if I stayed home all the time

i saw him open before he was famous for a not-huge-yet-but-still-headlining mitch hedberg in probably 2000 at a comedy club in dayton. i actually didn't even realize it was THE mike birbiglia til a few years ago when i came across a bit he did on youtube that was the only material i could remember from hedberg's opening comic.

I saw him here in town a couple years back, and at the time I'd actually never heard any of his material...my wife was a big fan though. And he was incredible. He's one of my favorite standups now. He's such an amazing storyteller.

I saw Bob Saget live a few months ago, and in the middle of the show he called out my girlfriend and I for living in sin. Theres not much else to this story, but it was a funny moment and Bob Saget is kinda awesome.
