Im guessing the people who ordered online would disagree with you. They ordered before you, just wait your turn. Its five minutes.

The point is that they could easily figure out a system where they can fulfill in-store and online orders at the same time, they just dont

You want a separate station taking up restaurant space strictly for online orders? Along with another employee(s)? How long do those ingredients sit out there when not having orders fulfilled? What does the online order employee(s) do?

They make it work at other restaurants without killing the in-store line.

Yes there is. Other people make the online orders at the store I go to.

I just don't understand the complaint. The people who ordered online are customers, same as you in line. Just because they ordered online doesn't mean they didnt order before you. Its not their fault 30 people showed up and want their food NOW.

Customer A: shows up at 8:00pm to restaurant without reservation, gets seated at 8:30pm
Customer B: shows up at 8:00pm to restaurant with reservation, gets seated at 8:00pm

Obviously this means the restaurant is managed poorly.

Plus they're not going to higher more people than the bare minimum because it's a capitalism scumpit to feed to horrible masses.

There's no greater feeling of power and dominance than cutting the 30-person line at Dunkin to pick up my iced coffee

OR they did have enough staff scheduled to cover this busy rush but someone called off. Cause its a food service job, and those workers tend to not win the Attendance Awards at the end of the year.

Nah; I spent long enough time in the retail/food service trenches until relatively recently. Businesses like this do indeed typically make their schedules with the idea they have "enough" people, but usually only the absolute bare minimum for a typical day during that period of business IF nobody calls out or has to leave early. Usually if someone doesn't show up then it's a minor disaster that hugely ups everyone else's work/stress-level. In a sane world, yes, this hugely successful company would do the smart thing and hire 1-2 people who works a shift that covers the peak lunch and after work hours and only handle the reservation orders.

But, since that world doesn't exist, I will continue to enjoy cutting in front of a furious line to demand my special, special burrito service from the staff already completely consumed by the walk-in orders.

My Chipotle does too, during lunch hours has a separate line for online orders, with a station in the back handling making the food for those orders. In this day and age if you aren't eating there why would you NOT do online ordering during lunch hours?

QDOBA UBER ALLES. It's garbage, too, but it knows it's garbage. Their queso is actually the kind of disgusting cheese glop it should be, and they're the only ones of these types of chains that'll put together a nacho package worth a damn (get those fresh cooked chips on the side, homie).

Yeah, I don't get the Moe's love at all. All three places are pretty bland, but Moe somehow manages to be extra bland. Plus so much of their food imagery involves a stupid amount if black olives shoved into it. As we determined scientifically, no non-maniac wants those mini-buttholes anywhere near their food.

We have a chain around here called Hot Head Burritos (maybe it's national, no idea) that some people really rave about. I can't convince my Chipotle-addicted children to try something new, though

Psh, get with the times, bro:

Hot Head Burritos was ranked by AOL.com in 2009 as one of America's next big chains

I hope they have that horsefeathers on a plaque on the wall. PRESTIGIOUS.

I'd to think that you saw the thread title "NY judge found dead after controversial Cohen/Hannity ruling" and thought, "yeah, that boring news can wait; I gotta tell everyone that Harry the Hat is dead!"

I wouldn't have known but they give him a fairly decent sized CG announcing him as such in each of his ads.
