I saw this a week ago and assumed a bot did not actually write it. Was I wrong?

So I when I first read it I thought he made a machine learning application or something, but I'm pretty sure he just made it up. He isn't a programmer or computer engineer. I wish this bot was real though.

Why would a bot write stage directions for the actors? That's what tipped me off

Also because no one fed 1000 hours of something to a bot

I've watched that video easily at least a dozen times already, and it leaves me dead every single time. It's horsefeathering fantastic.

Black family kicked out of funeral when the priest gets mad that someone knocked over a chalice. Made them take the body with them, then called the cops.

All hail Michael Harriot:

But Briese wasn’t done. Yea, though he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, the priest feared no evil, but he was a little bit scared of black people. Instead of getting Jesus on the main line, Briese decided to call his Lord and Savior from whom all white things flow: the police.

Wow, when I heard these kids were missing last week, I figured they were goners...

Chiang Rai, Thailand (CNN) Rescue teams have found all 12 boys and their soccer coach alive in a cave in Thailand nine days after the group went missing, according to a high-ranking person involved in the search and rescue operation.

Late last week after Kennedy's retirement announcement, I realized I had reached peak outrage and needed to unplug. I decided to take a two week hiatus from twitter, facebook, reddit, all news sites, and all of my current events podcasts.

I am not kidding when I say that the first two days of that were just about as hard as when I quit smoking. I thought all the talk of "hijacking attention" was hyperbole. It really isn't. You never notice how often you absentmindedly reach for your phone just to scroll twitter for 20 seconds while walking to the bathroom or whatever... But it really adds up during the course of the day.

But after a few days of withdrawal, I feel better than I have in months. I know I probably need to stay on facebook in some capacity due to my job, but I'm seriously considering making permanent changes to my internet habits.

This x1000. I got married last year like a week or after Comey got fired, and we went on our honeymoon abroad right away. So with all the insanity going on I felt this compulsive need to check Twitter, but couldn't unless I was on wi-fi. For the first few days I was a total lame-ass and wanted to "stop back at the hotel for a bit" between every activity. When I realized that I was missing my opportunity to explore horsefeathering Prague just so I could read the latest Jon Favreau outrage tweet it really hit me how badly I needed to unplug.

I now basically don't check Twitter on weekends anymore except during Cubs games. I've also mostly abandoned Facebook (I keep it essentially just for event invites) and pruned my Instagram to just be my close friends and cute/fun stuff like Dog Rates. I can't tell you how much less stressed I am now. It's night and day.

I only use FB, and long ago worked it down to exactly who and what I want to see on it. Much less stressful; hell, at this point going on FB is a stress reliever.

I keep my FB friend list at or below 200 people (don't know how folks who have 1000+ friends don't go insane). I have two people who stress me out: one is a Trumpster who shares easily debunked memes and then refuses to engage in debate. The other is the wife of a friend of mine who is staunchly liberal, but her comments on just about everything fall squarely into the "you're not helping" category

Yeah at the beginning of the year, I started a social media withdraw. I'd hid the facebook people that annoyed me, but I was just sick of looking at it but like has been said if it's there you just click on it out of habit. So i deleted the app, and then I was getting e-mails everyday from facebook about "what I'd missed" since my last login so instead of stopping the e-mails I just said f them and deactivated my account. Then I unfollowed pretty much all of twitter except for sports stuff.
