You the Dad? This name is an abomination and the mom deserves to be shamed. Poor kid.

Connor and Pam are actual names that exist, which is more than I can say for just about any of the names I see nowadays.

That's just because they're spelling it wrong. Same with the "er" clowns.

There's a kid on my son's soccer team named Cannon. Needless to say he's the best player on the team. He'd have to be with a name like that.

As a teacher, I encounter a lot of strangely spelled or pronounced names. Key & Peele already addressed that issue. What I find more worrisome though are the ironic names, for example "Angel" or "Harmony" despite the fact that the people with those names are awful even for teenagers.

When we got pregnant, my wife and I were talking about names and decided to stick to Kings and Queens of England. Later we found out she was pregnant with a girl. We both liked the name Victoria, but naming our child Vicki Hickey would have been child abuse. So Elizabeth won out.

Royalty huh? We decided to name our kids after suffragettes.

It was less the "royalty" aspect and more along the lines of "these are classic names that are unlikely to look bad on a job application at some point during our child's life."

My wife has done a lot of work with DCFS, and as a result has a bit of an aversion to bizarre and trendy names -- I guess they turn up a lot more in the system than people named stuff like Edward or George.

My father was born in The Netherlands but moved to the US when he was 5. His entire life he has had his name misspelled and mispronounced. He swore he wouldn’t do that to his kids....until he gave my sister a Dutch name. I then gave MY daughter a Dutch name, so the cruel cycle of child abuse endures.

My name is not Dutch, but has about five or six variations of spelling, so it’s constantly misspelled by everyone

what's worse, stupid made up names like this one or normal boring names with stupid made up spellings (i.e. jaxon)?

The Cubs’ transaction list under Epstein and Hoyer reads like a work of fiction, a wish-fulfillment list composed in hindsight.

Should have gone with Wanda. Then she could date this guy:

Ralphie from A Christmas Story as a young teenager. His sort of girlfriend is Wanda Hickey.

she makes an appearance at the 6:10 mark

Other radio programmer: "OK, we'll just play Last Christmas by Wham every 15 minutes instead.
