https://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyl ... story.html

While out with her mom and some friends at the Naperville Chuck E. Cheese’s, 9-year-old Marie Marcum, an experienced softball player, decided to show off her skills in a baseball throwing game.

Marie, who plays second base for the Plainfield Twisters travel softball team, said she had no trouble hitting the strike zone, but when one ball bounced off the game and onto the floor, she heard a disturbing taunt from the machine.

“Oh well,” it jeered. “There’s always softball.”

What started as a suggestion from her mom to write a letter to Major League Baseball — because the game was plastered with MLB logos — has led to the game manufacturer removing the softball-dissing soundbite from arcade games at Chuck E. Cheese’s restaurants across the country.

Marie has also received a massive response from the sports world, both on social media and in real life. Billie Jean King tweeted her support. Olympic gold medal softball player Jennie Finch invited Marie to camp. Her story caught the attention of the Chicago Bandits professional softball team and the Chicago Cubs. Kris Bryant and his wife, Jessica Bryant, called Marie, inviting her to tour the clubhouse and to throw out the first pitch at a game this season at Wrigley Field, said Marie’s mom, Lisa Marcum. The Cubs confirmed the invitation.

That "Alien" production has the theatre community very split today. On the one hand, yes, they did some really cool stuff with it, and its very impressive for a high school production. On the other, it was completely illegal to put on, as they didn't receive permission to adapt it. The issue of amateur and high school theatre groups creating adaptations of copyrighted material has come up a lot over the past few years.

I wonder if this incident is related to Jerry's gloryhole.

My answer to that particular controversy is horsefeathers copyright.

So I'm not sure how many of you will recall, but...

A while back I posted that my wife and I had suffered our 3rd miscarriage and they thought we should consider genetic testing and yadda yadda...

Well, we didn't. We simply tried again.

Coming in 3 months (totally freaking the horsefeathers out)

And yes I realize my swing sucks. I hadn't swung a bat in a long time and it was windy AF and those little balls are probably not much heavier than a whiffle ball and they shifted mid-flight. I was just grateful to make contact.Image

Twins? Wow, that is awesome. Congrats. Can't imagine how wonderful it must feel to finally break through.

the appearance of the boner sticking out of his right and then left thigh, the backwards EASTON, and the background, I am guessing these were just two different photos reversed for the meeting in the middle effect.

Also congrats and I will withhold my commentary on the concept of gender reveals

I'm not Dirk Diggler. That's my phone.

I actually fought against doing a reveal initially but my wife won that fight. And I gotta say it is not easy to replicate the feeling I had as those balls exploded. It was so worth it.

Given the circumstances, we're going to need some clarification here.
