A friend of mine is on Jeopardy today. First time I've known someone who made it onto that show (though I know like 5 people who were on Price is Right)

My sister still has all the appliances she won from Wayne Brady on Let's Make a Deal some number of years ago.

My grandpa won 250k on 1 vs 100 back in the day. He was so unbelievably reckless with the winnings though... made some God-awful investments... gave too much to undeserving family... pissed my since-departed grandma right the horsefeathers off. My grandpa is no dummy but I can never take him seriously if he tries to impart financial advice to me. Like it was catastrophic decisions one after another, starting with agreeing to pay the IRS later and not up front.

But it was amazing to watch him go up there in his 70s and shock Bob Saget and all the randos on the wall.

People really need to check out the thread; the dude posted more clips, and the kid keeps stepping it up in each one. He even smashes a "table!"

This might be a fun thread tangent during the Cubs' pursuit to be mediocre this offseason.

I'm not important enough to be blocked by anyone famous on twitter, but I'm wondering if anyone else here is blocked on twitter by a famous person and the reason why.

Dave Kaplan and David Haugh both blocked me cuz I mocked a Kap & Haugh commercial back when that was on CSN. I'm not sad about those.

Megan Amram blocked me I don't know why and I really hate that one.

Kaplan blocked me for calling him out for calling out Starlin Castro for struggling when he came off the bereavement list a few years ago.

Kyle Long blocked me because I mocked a tweet of his talking up LeBron's mental toughness or something like 5 years ago.

She's probably pissed you think The Good Place is a good television program.

oh man ok.

Ben Roethlisberger blocked me. From what I can tell he blocks a TON of people and the only thing I had tweeted about him before realizing I was blocked was calling him a big fat thumb, so that tracks.

Jon Heyman blocked me years ago because he did one of his dumb, no information tweets and I said "why the hell do I follow you" and he said "I'll make it easier on you" and blocked me. Which, as much as I hate Heyman, was a pretty dope play.

John Daly blocked me after the Cardinals won the 2011 World Series. I was drunk and going through my feed and sarcastically quote tweeting everyone who was happy about the Cardinals with "unfollowed and blocked." He followed me right after I did that and 30 minutes later blocked me. Quite a power move.

i think there's a few more that i'm forgetting, but those are my Big 3.

I don't engage enough on twitter for anyone to ban me. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure I have a very bannable face. But for reasons I can't fathom, Tay Zonde is one of my 35 followers. So I have that going for me, which is nice.

(After going on twitter just now to make sure I was spelling his name right, I found out that Tay is no longer among my followers. Angels cry and shake their heads in shame.)

Brady Quinn has me blocked. I have absolutely no idea why because he's my favorite college football player of all time and I've never communicated with him or said anything remotely negative about him on Twitter. If anyone else famous has me blocked I'm unaware of it.

If this is true the answer is pretty obvious. He clearly blocks anyone that liked him as a football player as it’s a painful reminder of how god awful he was at playing football.
