Apparently noted slime ball James O'Keefe is driving around Philadelphia today intimidating churches bussing people to the polls because he thinks it's illegal (it isn't).

They certainly did not cover "arguing with a judge about likelihood of twitter harassment" when I was in law school. That was delicious.

And they are 100% right. Jesus is still and always will be king. That's why while I'm interested in this election (especially as a math nerd) and have my opinions about the candidates, I am not all that concerned about the results of the election. I will stay out of the way in deference to those who find this election much more important for their personal lives.

Rob Neyer keeps going back to this "be nice to each other" narrative that is just so laughably naive and stuck in the sand. The religious right whining about their rights being trampled by other people gaining rights, the gun nuts literally threatening the lives of people who vote against Trump, the 4chan douchebags attacking whoever and whatever they feel slighted by, Trump itself. The bad treatment of others is so heavily weighted on one side it is just insane to try and push this "both sides are being mean" narrative.

Zero wait for voting for me at 3:30. Walked in, voted, walked out within 5 min. And it was 2 blocks from my house. Wish it was that easy for everyone.

I had about a ten minute wait -- apparently some computer system was down (or at least the workers thought it was).

Still though, nice and easy for me. I went around 10, hoping to avoid the people on their way into work and the people taking their lunch breaks.

Our polls opened up at 6:30. I was there at 6:00 and was probably 50th in line. The line wrapped all the way around the building by 6:30. Once the doors opened, I was out in 15 minutes

Active shooter near polling station in Azusa County in CA.

This is "second amendment people taking care of it".

My first thought when I saw it was let's not get ahead of ourselves. If you are in anything close to an urban/suburban area, it doesn't take much to get "near" a polling station.

Further information indicate the shooting resulting from a domestic dispute unrelated to the election, but the shooter is heavily armed and near two polling stations, which have been shut down while officers gain control of the situation.
