It was much more of a desire than a need.

I like Limbaugh's tactic of saying Moore was a Democrat when he was going after children and THAT'S why he did it.

Roy Moore wrote:"But I want to talk about the issues," he added. "I want to talk about where this country's going, and if we don't come back to God, we're not going anywhere."

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they explained is thusly: The myth around corporate tax cuts is built around the idea that when the economy is stagnant and/or interest rates are high, that a give back to big business will incentivize hiring, raising wages, and investment. But the economy is strong right now, and interest rates are low, so the exact conditions that a proposed tax cut would create already exist, yet companies aren't raising wages or investing (as illustrated by that video).

The Fed set their interest rates over 20% in the early 1980s to keep gasoline prices low. When gas prices started falling, the inflation threat ended and interest rates started falling. The US economy experienced growth because of that, not because of tax cuts.

We're getting small interest rate hikes right now because wages and prices are (finally) inching upward.

Deleted now, but it's fascinating how, when he puts out tweets like this that are clearly wrong (it's amazing that there's a category for that), they stay up for like 12+ hours. How is someone on his team not immediately checking this horsefeathers?

For those who missed it, our wonderful, thoughtful leader copied and pasted his Sutherland Springs tweet in an attempt to address the California shootings, but forgot to change the location, so it looked like he was saying the FBI was just arriving to Sutherland Springs last night. There was also some basic grammar that got messed up, but, as is frequently the case, that was far from the worst part about the tweet.

And then Moore wins the Republican primary again. Just keep doing this until 2020, that way you circumvent the entire electoral process.

Yeah, you guys should have seen the collection of bright young minds he was running against. One of the guy's claim to fame was that he was the only one who stood up to the special interests to vote against an Autism coverage bill. Who where the special interests? Parents of children on the ASD spectrum. He also said gober'ment has no business telling business what it should be doing and not doing, period.

Luther Strange, the guy Moore beat is likely to be indicted on bribery charges for taking money to lobby the EPA not to clean up a toxic waste site. Mo Brooks said that only people with low morals get sick. And the list goes on.

I hate it here, but for now, it's home.
