Joe Biden said Wednesday that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stopped the Obama administration from speaking out about Russian interference in the 2016 campaign by refusing to sign on to a bipartisan statement of condemnation.

There's no doubt in my mind that the entire leadership of the GOP had prior knowledge of Russian interference to help Trump.

These guys get away with everything. My kingdom for some left-leaning pols who will stand up to this horsefeathers.

We have one side who will never give an inch, doesn’t give a horsefeathers how they look, and will do any underhanded borderline illegal thing they can do to hold on to or take power and on the other side a group of people who are afraid of the other side’s base. I’m for an entire slate of women of color running for office.

I've never understood why the Dems keep aiming for this unattainable bipartisan utopia while the GOP continues to horsefeathers down their throats with zero remorse. I realize that if they start fighting fire with fire then they become "no better than the GOP" or whatever so they want to take the high road, but that guy is right, the only way they can protect their constituents at this point is to sweep the leg of the GOP and kick them while they're down. The GOP would do the same, no need to try and be friends with someone who wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire while they try and purposefully make life miserable for the people you represent.

In short: the Democrats inexplicably want some kind of validation from a group of people that completely despise them.

Because the US is still an overwhelmingly, embarrassingly conservative country and Republicans would be all too eager to paint Democrats as radicals and the people who really wish they could vote for Republicans would be all too eager to go along with it.

I don’t think that is necessarily true at all. I think we are an overwhelmingly, embarrassingly racist country. People like their social security and other liberal programs, they just don’t like brown people getting those things.

Trump’s tariff on solar energy could cost the US 23k jobs.

This is like some horsefeathering Naked Gun movie. No one would believe the heaping piles of rotten horsefeathers Trump has proposed if it was written in a screenplay.

An immigration bill proposed by conservative House Republicans and supported by President Trump includes a provision that would criminalize non-student DACA recipients if their annual income falls below 125% of the federal poverty rate.

What a bunch of snowflakes:

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/full-sec ... d=52592241

For the past 24 hours, a number of Republican lawmakers have been suggesting that a months-old text message between two FBI officials reveals a "secret society" of federal law enforcement officials clandestinely plotting against President Donald Trump.

Lawmakers have refused to publicly release the full text message, sent the day after Trump won the 2016 presidential election. But ABC News has obtained a copy of the one message that Republicans appear to be citing, and it's unclear if the message's reference to a “secret society” may have been made in jest.

"Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing. Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society," FBI lawyer Lisa Page wrote to senior FBI agent Peter Strzok, who was working on the FBI’s probe of Russian meddling in the presidential election and would later join Page for a brief period on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's team.

That text stands alone in the series of messages obtained by ABC News – with no apparent tie to other messages sent before or after it.

In another text message obtained by ABC News, sent the day after the presidential election in November 2016, Strzok told Page: "Omg I am so depressed."

Those texts are among a large cache of messages handed over to House and Senate committees in the past two months. After recent news accounts reported that Strzok was axed from Mueller's team for sending potentially anti-Trump messages, lawmakers demanded to see the messages for themselves.

Apparently they think all of us government workers are apolitical drones who cannot have any kind of negative opinion about a president, and that anything to the contrary is apparently a startling revelation. This absurd, asinine course of thinking will, of course, have infinite legs and be leading Fox News for weeks to come. HUZZAH FOR AMERICA.

Oh, and nevermind there were a bunch of texts taking shots at Clinton, too. ONLY TRUMP TALK MEANS INVESTIGATION IS FAKE NEWS (but crooked Hillary talk is real news and OK).

Granted, it's only been 4 votes, but kinda hoping this guy isn't the deciding vote on anything that matters.

What votes besides a couple safe votes for the budget?

He was one of 7 Democrats to vote on Wednesday for Trump's terrible, terrible pick for Health and Human Services Secretary.

Small sample size, but so far he's voting like he's deluded into thinking he's got a seat the Democrats can hold, when odds are he's toast if the Republicans can manage the very, very low hurdle of not running a child molester against him. Vote like you ain't gonna be there long, dude; they're never going to accept you, no matter how you much you play DINO, just for the pro-choice stance alone.

There must be some huge news about to drop. Nunes and the rest of them want to paint a picture to the rubes that its all a plot to overthrow Trump.

The State News Network will feed them what they need.

http://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/ ... lockbuster

The scorched-earth attacks against the FBI by a growing number of House and Senate Republicans demonstrate a high degree of fear that special counsel Robert Mueller will make blockbuster moves in the coming days and weeks that will define the fate of ongoing investigations of the Russian attack against America.

Just like Manchin, Heitkamp, Tester, McCaskill, and Donnelly. Hopefully somebody with no chance of winning a general election beats all them in a primary. Losing by 20% as a Mojo Dem is better than winning.
