I’m not talking just about debates, though. Biden is easy to brand-he plays into the worst fears about him.

The stephens stuff is really remarkable. The NYT are children and don't deserve the trust of one reader.

Publishing this sloppy nonsense.

This seems a little hyperbolic. When assessing the quality of news organizations, I think people place far too much stock in editorial hires. There are a ton of great journalists working for NYT.

Maybe, but they've got the most menacing picture of Goebbels they can find, a sloppy link that doesn't even back up his point (they were talking about actual bedbugs), and Stevens' patented lazy analysis. All because someone innocuously called him a bedbug and he tried to get him fired and continues to double down.

The so called paper of record should be much better than this. They have really been failing in the age of trump.

He was run out a long time ago. GOPers invoke him only to "troll the libtards" at this point.

It's actually already happening if rants from extended family members (many of them farmers) the past few weeks are any indication.

Some fair points here, IMO, especially as it pertains to ground game & registering of voters. Wilson, as a #nevertrump GOP operative, of course brings the type of right wing perspective that has worked for him.

The divide between those who think in terms of energizing the progressive base (and those who should be in the base but haven't recently participated), and those who are most concerned about supposed fence-sitters in swing states who will opt to vote Trump or stay home if Dems talk to much about progressive issues, remains stark. I know where I stand in this argument; I just hope Dems of all variety will focus on the ground and registering of voters through all the disagreement.

It’s a trope that dates back more than a decade, but the rise of Senator Bernie Sanders and House Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has seen a recent surge in, what we’re calling the Liberal’s “Inexplicable Republican Best Friend,” a specific genre of concern trolling where a long-time Republican operative, politician or pundit offers supposedly well-intentioned “advice” to Democrats about how they can win elections, which always relies on, get this, avoiding veering “too far left.”
