He's out of the race. It will be Tulsi Gabbard vs. Nancy Pelosi

I mean, not to be too grim, but I'm guessing he and others would be back in if something happened to either Biden or Bernie. He, Warren and Bloomberg do all have some delegates.

Yes, those campaigns are "suspended"

I know all of that. I just wanted to make a "Tulsi is still running" joke. Looks like I nailed it

I know you don't mean anything by it, but I really wish everyone would stop using this phrase whenever there's a government eff up. Pretty please?

A natural disaster made worse by government inaction is a perfectly appropriate comparison. This event will likely be an order of magnitude worse than Katrina.

Puerto Rico was "Trumps Katrina" if anything.

This is something entirely different.

Sammy Sofa wrote:(Feverishly) hot take: if the coronavirus issue continues throughout the year, Trump is all but a lock to be re-elected. It takes the heat of the economy tanking off of him, and it effectively turns him into a wartime president, meaning he benefits from the default, "don't change horses midstream" bump that incumbent wartime presidents get basically by default.

Equally feverish hot take: Trump says, "Screw it. I've grifted enough off the government. Not running for a second term. The house is going to impeach me again. The Senate has an outside (ok, really outside) chance of flipping. Not enough to convict, but they'll call witnesses. I won't be as protected. All I need is a good excuse to back out (Melania, Barron, my business; anything that doesn't make me look weak). Then I can sit back and tweet even lamer horsefeathers than ever before."

Fed pumps $1.5 trillion (with a T) into the market, but how will we ever pay for things.

It's always about the markets with these a-holes. How about all of the wage workers, gig workers, small businesses, etc.?

Don't forget they're all rarin' to go with a horsefeathering fracking bailout, but god forbid if somebody suggest a, oh, I don't know, bailout for the restaurant industry that is going to be GUTTED by this.

I long ago lost the capacity to be surprised by the type of turds who will ride & die with the worst of humanity to save something like a dying coal industry, that was dwarfed by the workforce of Toys 'r' Us when it folded.

^^Agreed. Flexing about being a manly man who doesn't get tested, while actually being swabbed several times daily seems likely.

Id be extremely surprised if the guy who has been teasing running for 3rd and 4th terms like he's LeBron being introduced in Miami would suddenly decide "nah Im good with one".
