This guy appears smart enough and dedicated to his duties regarding the election but, is he really that stupid?

If the election was held tomorrow, he'd vote for Trump again.

Until recently, I had harbored some hope that the GOP might dump Trump once he became a loser.

But continuing to see Republican "leadership" go all-in defending him during the midst of his massive attack on the rule of law... It seems they've done their calculations and figure they need the MAGA crazies to win an election. So they're going to keep placating these fools. They'll continue to sell out all their ethics and even their policy positions, because they can't afford for Trump to start a MAGA party and siphon votes from them. So they've sold their souls for power.

Just once, would it kill these guys to say "maybe instead of catering to the crazies, we can be a big tent party again. Maybe stop being homophobic and we can try to attract gay guys who like small government? Or stop pretending climate change doesn't exist so we can attract environmentalists who like freedom of religion?"

Maybe because a good many of them appear to be thoughtless and thereby, gullible? Marks for everyone of the GOP's policies, they'll willingly kill themselves because they were told to do so. If they were thoughtful they'd see in a nanosecond the GOP is the polar opposite of populist, conservative, sure, Trump said all horsefeathers Bannon and others told him to say in 2016. But, with thought its pretty easy to spot the BS, I mean, look who was delivering the message, that alone should have doomed Trump.

Their policy is to stay in power and cater to those who contribute to their ability to stay in power. That's it. If they could find a way to monetize the sun they'd be for renewable energy. if gun safety was more profitable, they'd be for that. They don't have ethics, personal or otherwise. They've never been a big tent in our lifetime.

Yeah, I remember those. More than half of the people voting for Biden didn't really care a lick about his policies or politics. They just felt he was most likely to beat Trump after he was last-man-standing when all of the other centrists dropped out. Then when the primaries were over, they were complaining about Bernie not going to bat for Biden, even though he might have campaigned more aggressively than Biden actually did. Now that the general election is over, you come here and point at the primaries for a reason progressives shouldn't expect to be thrown a singular bone. horsefeathers that. It's garbage, and its a great way to lose future elections, as evidenced by the history of the Democratic party. You can make your pikachu face in 2022.

If making progressives sad is the reason why Democrats sometimes lose national election cycles, you would think a progressive would win the Democratic nomination in a national primary once in awhile.

Democrats very well might lose a lot in 2022. But progressives roll out of bed in the morning and proclaim the next election lost because they aren’t happy before they become fully conscious. It’s pure reflex at this point.

Man, the establishment Dems suck butt, but I still can't wrap my head around how people figure that Democratic primary candidates dropping out hurt Sanders without it sounding like the sourest of grapes. Like, it basically made it him vs. Biden, and Sanders ended up doing worse than he did in 2016 when he was only facing Clinton. How is that a knock on anything but Sanders' campaign?
