I wanted as big of a blanketed stimulus early on as possible. That were talking generic and not targeted relief 9 months into this horsefeathers kind of tells you everything you need to know about how poorly Congress has done this.

I don't know that polls are gonna tell us much at this point....it's gonna be super close and there's gonna be a lot of drama around this thing....especially if either Dem wins.

I know the stimulus had the same income limits the first time around, but I guess it made more sense then when people weren't so far removed from their 2019 income. Someone making more than $99,000 is certainly not immune to hardship, and there are limits to how long even high-income individuals can keep up with their bills in the event of extended unemployment. One could argue that $600 isn't likely to help them very much anyway, but it still doesn't seem fair to tell those people they don't get anything.
