Iowa too.

Acosta is now saying that press secretary girl said Trump has ordered the national guard deployed.

True, but there are still people (not Trump supporters) who don't think exercising Constitutional powers is worth the time. I suppose the thinking goes, "unless you do A and it results in B, why bother?" There is seemingly no perceived value in simply doing what should be done, simply for the sake of doing what's right.

Honestly, I was in the camp of "what's the point" as the Senate just would have acquitted anyway. But now, they have to do it. They need 17 Senate Republicans to vote to remove.

thats not their thinking, thats how they justify it. And by "it" I mean their own embarrassment at what rotten, racist horsefeathers they all really are

Not only does it get rid of Trump now, but maybe more importantly it prevents him from running again in 4 years.. I think most republicans want Trump to go away, so make it happen.

I'm even thinking about the impeachment that already happened. There was LOTS of "well, horsefeathers, he won't be removed anyway. Why even do it?" With "it" being the exercise of Constitutional powers (many would actually call it a duty, but apparently many others would not...impeachment power is just something there for...whatever, I guess. Blows my mind how much civics needs to be emphasized in primary education. Citizenship requires duties to be carried out, not just rights to be exercised.

I read your post in reference to his claims that "if I didn't actually get horsefeathers from Russia, then its not a big deal/a crime" and all the Republicans who backed him and Gulliani on that defense.

But I agree with you

Group of about 700 has gathered at the Capitol building here in Denver and I can hear the helicopters getting really active overhead.

I was filing through TV stations last night and the new "Top Gear" was on. They were racing 3 cars from Connecticut to NYC to make their arguments about which one the "celebrity" should choose. That celebrity was...of course...Trump. He "fired" the two hosts who had the cars he didn't want and chose the Bently. I wanted to punch my tv, but it *again* confirmed to me that the US version of Top Gear is among the worst programming available, as the two who were fired were excited to be fired by Donald Trump.

It was filmed in 2012.
