Yesterday Trump said that Joe better be careful what he wishes for if he was impeached again. I guarantee you this is something Trump either asked her to do or at least planted the idea in her head

The first 40 seconds could have been talking about Trump. The projection is so, so apparent

I thought that "removal from office requires 2/3rds of the Senate but disqualification from future office only requires a majority" sounded hinkey, but it's actually true with historical precedence:

So basically, if Democrats can hold their caucus and Republicans want to wait until Trump's out of office, we can get this done without a single one of them.

And Republicans can keep their wackos without having to worry about Trump running in 2024

In non-national news, IL is likely set to become the first state to completely eliminate cash bail (governor will still need to sign)

What do people think of this?

The boys are little more then a dribble down the old mans leg. Good luck with that

It might be worth banning him from public office and moving directly into Biden's Presidency. It would take away any negotiating power from the republicans, and there is so much to undo that it may be better to tell the republicans to horsefeathers off by letting them watch the Democrats do that work. Give them nothing.

What is considered "political office" per the Impeachment rules? If Don Jr or Ivanka are president, could Trump be a paid advisor? Work in the Cabinet?

“disqualification to hold and enjoy any office of honor, trust or profit under the United States.”

Translating that from legalese into English leads me to believe that it’s referring to any Federal employment.

The ban vote would only take place if the impeachment resulted in conviction. They need 17 (i think) republicans to get to there.

Ah, I must of misunderstood it. Then who were the chucklehorsefeathers who voted to convict some judge in the 19th century then barely agreed to disqualify him.
