It's a pretty weird district too. Not the most gerrymandered in Illinois, but probably top 3.

How can someone in the public spotlight for decades be so bad at speaking

Senility.

The guy who wrote the book (Wolfe?) was on Don Lemon last night and said that Trump repeats himself a lot in one-on-one conversations. He loops back over and over as if he is forgetting that he's already said something.

Couple that with him having to make public statements about things that he knows nothing about (nor wants to learn about) and you get the word salad statements we see here

Yeah, Trump was never some kind of amazing public speaker, but he wasn't nearly this bad. There's clearly some kind of serious degradation that's occurred.

Today more than most days, there's so much news it's not possible for regular folks to digest it all. Standing on their own, the FusionGPS stuff or that bonkers meeting with Trump and Congressional folk would be enough news for a week.

I caught a little of the meeting in the car today. Trump loves...earmarks?

Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is out at far-right Breitbart News, the outlet confirmed Tuesday.

“I’m proud of what the Breitbart team has accomplished in so short a period of time in building out a world-class news platform,” he said in a statement.

I guess Rebekah Mercer showed him who the Alpha was.

I'm so glad this is happening to Bannon. I hope it will make him come to realize the error of his ways and spill to Mueller, but it won't.

Maybe Bannon has already? Some speculate that is the case

Party loyalty is often cited as the reason that GOP leaders have not been more outspoken in their criticism of President Donald Trump and his refusal to condemn Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election. Yet there may be another reason that top Republicans have not been more vocal in their condemnation. Perhaps it's because they have their own links to the Russian oligarchy that they would prefer go unnoticed.

Marco Rubio's Conservative Solutions PAC and his Florida First Project received $1.5 million through Blavatnik's two holding companies. Other high dollar recipients of funding from Blavatnik were PACS representing Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker at $1.1 million, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham at $800,000, Ohio Governor John Kasich at $250,000 and Arizona Senator John McCain at $200,000.

For those who have been busy today & would like to get a better handle on why the transcript release is important (&, regretfully**, likely necessary):

Short thread:
Spoiler: show

**to clarify, I simply hate that this is what needed to be done to combat the conspiracy theory being put forth by the GOP. What Trump is forcing many to do is disgusting & it's gonna have (bad) consequences for the foreseeable future. horsefeathering GOP willing to do anything to get their horsefeathering tax cuts.

See, this is the part I cannot comprehend. They are getting tax cuts +++ with a cardboard cutout GOP President. I submit that Trump has done more to hurt their cause than to help it.

republicans care more about their party, their donors and winning elections than they do about the country or a healthy, properly functioning democracy. this isn't exactly a revelation.

I wonder how Trump thinks he’s going to wiggle his way out of this one. Mueller has him and he knows it.
