Meh, this is the same recycled crap Clinton tried in 08'. The seniors of this party are going to"indentity politicize" the crap out of the next two years hurting the chances in 2020. Stick to issues, minority support and questioning whether the left would support a minority is sabotage.

The GOP is smart enough to avoid that line of thinking and it's actually true with them, Bernie has an old man thought and now the left has to try and come to a rational reason for his idiotic thoughts.

What’s the issue with having an honest dialogue about racism that exists in even Dem voters?

Because he's not just saying that: he very clearly goes on a classic old man ramble where he's talking about white voters ostensibly on the Left basically needing to warm up to the idea of voting for PoC...as if Obama and every other PoC who has held office on the state or national level didn't exist.

I guess I just need more context to determine that Bernie was an “apologist” rather than an old dude talking in circles as he tends to do.

no you don't.

Bernie said racist people aren't racist.

It's right there in the quote.

I'm guessing the "context" here is, "I read the tweets, but not the article."

No, I actually read it twice to see if there was more there. The first time it I felt like I knew what he was trying to say but fumbled it. The second reading led me more to your point of view, just not ready to make that leap to “Bernie’s a racist old coot”. Ignorant, maybe.

Both Florida and Arizona look far from settled, and winning both would make the Democrats' senate performance look a lot better.

My guess is that they end up winning in AZ but not FL.

I have very little basis for that other than the number of ballots said to be outstanding.

There has to be something wrong with the vote totals in Florida. There is no way only 82% of black women voted for Gillum. This has to be challenged.

Where is that coming from? How would they know the race of the people who voted for particular candidates?

The election night counts seem to have underestimated Democrats in the House, too.

It was originally looking like 30-33 seats net gain, now it is pushing 40.

it's just from some exit polling which would have had small sample size issues.

also, rick scott is demanding that some election official in broward county be investigated and is going on hannity, who's demanding that people be thrown in prison.

i think we really need to stop and appreciate how much long-term damage the republican party has done to american democracy in the past 25 years.

Yeah. This is either a solid burn, or just confirmation of how much of a dorky white guy he is.

It's Kenny Chesney, if anyone cares. He's not too far off, but he obviously means it in an adoring way towards both of them.

He has plenty worse tweets out there.

yeah this is one of them.

You know, if he really loved Family Guy, fine. Whatever. That "giggity" is what he feels is peak comedic value proves he is a monster.

I, for one, am wholeheartedly happy my intuition, dislike, and mistrust of Family Guy has finally been vindicated.
