Speaking of "Doing anything", this is making the rounds now, but back on February 7th, in case folks forgot, the Trump admin donated nearly 18 tons of surplus emergency medical supplies to China to combat the virus, including masks, respirators, and more, along with a commitment of $100 million to help fight the spread in China, who they are now blaming for this. Somehow this is also all Obama's fault I'm sure.

Interesting. I think she may be making this move too early, though. Not sure what to think about it. I suppose her image is pretty well solidified at this point, and putting out the "I can make deals" vibe within the party isn't bad. As Bernie's national spotlight is going to start to wane, I'm not sure this is the best timing, is all.

I have mixed emotions on this. I certainly hope that these are for the time being behind closed doors and not public. In a perfect world, they will be able to outline a timeline of systematic negligence in our response to the pandemic. More likley, this will provide an easy misdirection by Trump to a "politics as usual" conversation, a fight he welcomes, rather than focusing on the real time mistakes being made daily by his administration.

Its your classic "fire a bunch of workers, the executives get massive cash bonuses, and then the company files for bankruptcy immediately after" story. Nothing new or surprising...apart from the very new, young, female CFO getting 2.2 million. Her name is Correne Loeffler. All I could find in the google machine that matches remotely with Kelly is that she got her BA from Indiana University while Kelly grew up in Illinois, and both have finance/banking backgrounds. Just a coincidence?
