horsefeathers, sounds like I need to watch last night's SNL. Outside of Tribe (new album is phenomenal), I kinda expected it to be a disaster.

tribe (especially the first song they did) was maybe the most timely musical guest I can ever remember. It was the perfect performance to pair with Chappelle's monologue

I'll admit it, I got a little misty watching Kate McKinnon as HRC singing Leonard Cohen on the piano last night. She clearly was crying, too.

Man, I am pretty sure 2016 Chris Rock has been replaced by 1991 Chris Rock. Dude has barely aged at all.

That was me the past few seasons, but I stopped watching my DVR recording from the episode (week 2?) when a dude sitting on a stage had a horsefeathering tiger on a leash. I removed the show from my recording queue & haven't watched nor read anything about the show since. I'm done. I have no clue why that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

The guy who played The Commedian in The Watchmen is the only likable character.
That eyepatch kid makes that Zac Effron dude seem like Sir Lawrence Olivier.

Yeah Jeffrey Dean Morgan is really good as Neegan. But like imb its a hate watch for me now. I didn't catch up and watch any of them until the 4th episode. Its garbage.

I like to think of it as a metaphor for the fall of Rome and the advent of feudalism. After Rome fell, anarchy ensued but was replaced by local warlords consolidating power by offering protection to the people in exchange for their labor. Those able to fight received higher status and a larger share of the available luxuries.

That doesn't mean I'm going to watch it though because it doesn't make any sense of so many different levels.

I gave up on the show after the first season, but I've definitely been hate-reading the comics for a while.

Last season started out great but the last couple episodes killed it for me. They were grueling and slow. I watched the premiere for the heck of it and haven't watched since. I read recaps and holy ish did this week's sound boring. Like, no need for a 90 minute episode for that. From what I gather, the ratings have been steadily dropping too.
