I don't see how Succession could possibly be good or interesting. I just don't think I could ever be bothered to care about the subject matter. Has anyone checked it out?

Brian Cox and Kieran Culkin are enough to get me to check out an episode or two.

They're officially doing Roseanne without Roseanne...tentatively called "The Conners" and it's going to have the entire cast back minus Roseanne.

Still a pass for me.

Who else has watched/is watching The Staircase on Netflix?

I'm pretty sure the guy didn't actually murder his wife, but [expletive], what an unlikable [expletive].

I've got all the resolve a sponge; now I'm back to thinking he did it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedMyst ... h=cc13b457

Basically it sounds like the documentary left out a LOT that makes him look REALLY bad (I mean, even worse than the cocky, tone deaf jerk he comes across as regardless).

I still think it's odd that a "crime of passion"-type attack would result in multiple weird head wounds that somehow don't fracture the skull or injure the brain, but hey; much stranger murders have happened. Seems like a Steven Avery-type situation where you've got a creep who very likely did what they're accused of, but also got screwed over by a horsefeathers investigation/prosecution.

it took all of the strength I had not to google while I was watching it, even after I realized somewhere around episode 3 that I didn't give a horsefeathers about him or the show

Anyone else here watch Succession, on HBO? I've gotten through the first 3 episodes & while the cast is pretty damn talented, I just can't get into it. I just can't give a horsefeathers about any one of these characters, and I'm not finding anything special about the writing/dialogue to keep me interested.

I gave it a try through 4? episodes but couldn’t find interests. Seems like it should’ve been like a 2.5 hour movie not a drawn out series.

According to Variety, FX has begun casting its pilot adapting Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s brilliant series, Y: The Last Man. Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk) is Yorick, the titular last man. Imogen Poots (Green Room) is his sister, Hero. Diane Lane (Man of Steel) is their mother, Senator Jennifer Brown (previously rumored to be played by Jodie Foster). Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel) is the kick-ass Agent 355. Juliana Canfield (Succession) is Yorick’s girlfriend, Beth, and Marin Ireland (Hell or High Water) is Nora, the President’s assistant.

I know that awards shows are [expletive], but I'm really annoyed that The Good Place wasn't nominated for Best Comedy.

I have surprisingly strong feelings about this year's thanks to Atlanta and Barry

Donald Glover is going to EGOT so hard.

...what should Barry win? The show was fine and Hader was pretty good, but apart from that last episode and the bald creepy/funny guy, it wasn't amazing TV.

Goliath is really, really good. Love Billy Bob in pretty much everything and he kills it in this show.
