I can get that from pbs thank you

They reportedly want to pivot the majority of their original programming to animation. Live action shows like The Other Two and South Side are jumping to HBO Max.

The Drunk History move is just especially annoying since they had at least 3 episodes in the can before COVID, and only had a deal through what would have been the upcoming 7th season that those episodes where being made for. Why not just see through that as the final season of what's been a popular show?

“Drunk History’s” sixth and most recent season will be the Comedy Central show’s last, Variety has confirmed.

The show had been renewed for a seventh season last year and was in pre-production on that season when the COVID-19 pandemic forced production to stop in March. Later on, Comedy Central decided to pull the plug on the show as the network moves away from live-actions scripted shows in favor of adult animation.

That seems like a prime show to be picked up by a streaming service, imo.

Hell, Netflix already made what is essentially "Drunk History for Kids" with Andy Daly and H. Jon Benjamin. They'll probably grab Drunk History too.

I really like Lovecraft Country, seems ambitious...There's little jabs thrown in about the KKK being too poor and one about how his accusations are so vague that give it life, love the throwback made-for-TV movie feel whenever they can sneak it in too

So I'm way late to this, but anyone else watch Future Man on Hulu? I'm about 4 episodes into Season 2 now, and while I haven't loved it the way I loved season 1, the series as a whole has really been an absurd delight. Wolf is just a fantastic character.

I thought it ran out of steam a bit by the end(though maybe that was me from pandemic binge watching), but I liked it. The plot becomes more weird and irrelevant as they get better at letting the main characters spout zingers, but they land so it works.

https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/a33835487/the-x-files-albuquerque-animated-comedy-spinoff/

Going in the complete opposite direction of what could be expected of a spin-off for a series such as this, Fox is developing an animated comedy based on The X-Files.

According to TVLine, The X-Files: Albuquerque will follow an office of misfit agents who investigate the cases too ridiculous for Mulder and Scully to bother with – so basically the alien rejects team.

The news comes after season 12 is still not confirmed or denied since Gillian Anderson quit the revival back in 2017 and hasn't really held back in her criticism of its comeback ever since.

Too many people in the world saying Cobra Kai was good for me to keep ignoring it. Watching it now, three eps in, it's shockingly good.

I haven’t asked but I’m fairly sure the GF hasn’t seen Karate Kid (and it’s been a long time for me too).

Is it beneficial or necessary to re-watch Karate Kid? horsefeathers I may do it anyway actually

Not really at all. It recaps and has flashbacks at times as well.

Its fantastic, I've rewatched first 2 seasons twice. Lol.

A lot of old characters come back. I do think watching karate kid 1 and 3 is beneficial. Watch 2 right before season 3 comes out, i hear a lot of the new season pertains to KK2

A statement like this would normally cause me to lose my horsefeathers and get mean and jerkish for justified reason. As I have yet to see the series, and as its on my list of things to watch, I didn't even consider going down that road. 2020 is a hell of a year.

Yes KK3 sucks, I know that but at least I didn't say to watch The Next Karate Kid or the reboot with Will Smith's kid :D

That was bound to happen. Cable became what it was for a reason...it was the way to make the economics work. The real difference is that YoutubeTV doesn't control the actual physical connection/hardware aspects, and that's still huge.

Yup, but it's almost worse now because there are no channel numbers to quickly navigate around.

True. Looks like at least $10 a month for the sports add on. Add to it the $15 increase for channels i don't watch. Probably will give in for the football season and then cancel the add on. Just wish YouTube TV would go to a tiered system like the other streaming services. Their product is far superior than Sling,Hulu, and the others overall.

Man, I never get when people act like having a bunch of streaming services is like having cable simply based on the money.

When I ditched cable, it had graduated to the point that I was paying well over $100 a month for a bunch of channels that I would mostly never ever watch. Now even if I just had 2-3 streaming services for the same cost, I'd have god-knows-how much more content that I actually want to watch, whenever I want to watch it. It's not even close.
