Look, I'm all for a good bit of, "actually, if you look at it THIS way..." horsefeathers, but those dudes were straight up trying to murder him.

The movie really does hold up and I appreciate how quickly it moves along and wraps up. No fake endings, no wasted time. The opposite of bloated. Very easy watch.

Can you blame them? Johnny was trying to roll a joint in the bathroom and Daniel poured water on him, ruining the joint. Daniel should have let well enough alone

The Boys season 2 is

Spoiler: show
too good at what it's doing and it's not fun anymore.

Yeah, the hero who represents America is a violent, murdering dickwad, and when he gets called out for being a dick, he is seduced by a nazi who tips him over the edge to the fascist he always wanted to be. Hahahahacry.

Everyone who tries to speak out against the corporate oligarchy gets their stance co-opted and packaged as a "rebranding" to sell more movie tie-ins.

Congratulations, you have so perfectly captured what our society would look like if superheroes were real that now I don't even want it anymore.

Yesssssss.

Spoiler: show
I've had a lot of anxiety lately because of world events and politics and such, and I've been trying to distance myself from all of it as much as possible. When Stormfront "fixed" Homelander's image by pushing out memes...it legitimately brought up some of that anxiety.
