That is really, really bad. It's going to be the lowest rated tv musical since they started doing these again with Sound of Music.

To compare, Grease had 12.2 million viewers and a 4.3 rating.

I know some of you guys were probably waiting for my report before jumping on the bandwagon and binging. The Exorcist season 2 finale was great and the show remains excellent. I hope there is a season 3.

They get an initial burst of interest in the show, so already out of the gate they're starting out ahead. If the show maintains its audience, they win. If it doesn't, they're in no worse position than they would be with any new IP, and it ends and it's over. Theres nothing to lose.

I re-watched the series this summer, and I forgot how incredibly awful the last few seasons were

Oh, I was being rhetorical. I'm sure they'll get ratings.

Gunpowder, the HBO series about the Gunpowder Plot, came out last night. It was very well made. Should be a good series.

30 minutes of the first episode was made up of just two scenes, which I thought was interesting. I think the opening scene was somewhat inspired by the opening of Inglorious Basterds.

John Legend is going to play Jesus in NBC's live version of Jesus Christ Superstar which will be on at Easter and I'm damn near giddy for the outcry that's surely coming.

And Alice Cooper is playing King Herod. They're actively trolling the evangelicals.

Alice actually played Herod before...you can find his version of Herod's Song online. And it's only one song that's usually played for comedy anyway.

And it's not Jesus.

It is a throw-away song for the most part, true.

I think they should make the only straight, cis-male white actor in the entire show play Judas, just for the lulz

Jack Black? Judas is practically the main character with all off the best lines and songs. If you wantto get progressive you prob don't want to make him white cis male. But it really doesn't matter who you get to play it, the gnostic Christ/Judas of the play is going to piss off everyone. Glorious.

My point was to make the least offensive guy be the one who betrays Jesus

I know...but the Judas of the play is different than the Judas of JCSS.

Rubicon was criminally underrated. I've been re-watching it and it's every bit as good as I remembered.

I think it was a few years ahead of its time. If it came out now with the ability to binge-watch, it could've been big. But it was too much of a slow-burn for its time.

Just finished Mindhunter. If you can get past the main character being a reworking of Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, its pretty damn good.

Twenty years after it wrapped its run on The WB Network, Hulu, Warner Bros. Animation and Amblin Television are reviving Peabody Award-winning animated comedy Animaniacs with a two-season, straight-to-series order at Hulu.

Under the deal, Hulu has also landed the library rights to Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, the subsequent Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain, and the complete Tiny Toon Adventures collection. Those episodes are available to stream now, with the new Animaniacs set to begin rolling out in 2020 in what Hulu is billing as its first original series made specifically for families.
