Wow, given everything that's happening right now, they must be really sure that the relationships he was trying to cover up years ago were consensual. I'm not so sure.

Good god CBS is the worst.

They joined forces with Amazon to make CBS All Access available over the Amazon ecosystem....but you still have to pay the All Access fee in addition to the Amazon Prime price. I guess they thought a lot of people were willing to pay the price but just not willing to use their app? Whatever...stupid.

Hmm. There may be an exposure play too. People that don't even know that content is available, but would willingly pay?

HBO is available on Amazon in the same way. You can see a plan where Amazon wants to build that true a la carte media pricing and just take a small cut of all of it. The big current problem is that navigating streaming media on Amazon is a tortuous experience.

Holy horsefeathers, I watched the first three episodes of Black Mirror. Dystopian future doesn't quite describe the show. I had to stop watching because it was too damn depressing, wow.

I watched The Entire History of You politely all the way through then ducked out.

White Bear and White Christmas were fairly badass, imo.

White Christmas was the best because, of course, Jon Hamm is amazing.

Otherwise, it's usually OK but nothing special, and it gets kinda repetitive.

Because we'd have missed his getting mauled by a bear.

I'm finally catching up on Halt & Catch Fire now that it's finished and I kept hearing from so many people how much better it got after a, IMO, rough first season that never brought me back (even re-watching it now, the third episode may be one of the most laughably bad episodes of a prestige drama ever).

Holy horsefeathers, everyone was right; I can't think of another show that had this drastic of a turnaround. The first season is still completely forgettable at best, but everything afterwards so far ranks way, WAY up there for me with the best series of this ongoing "golden age of TV." Wow.

I think I posted about this when the finale happened or when the last season started. Yeah, either way, phenomenal job by them to turn it around from Season 1, which after a rewatch was certainly bad for being an AMC drama (still didn’t think it was that bad overall). I stuck with it and was glad I did. The final season was really great and the rest of the seasons were good to great as well.

Roseanne Conner will be a Donald Trump supporter.

Roseanne Barr, the series’ creator confirmed her character’s political leanings during the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour on Tuesday, as The Associated Press report. “I’ve always attempted to portray a realistic portrait of the American people and of working-class people,” she said. “And in fact it was working-class people who elected Trump.”

i love the original show but was pretty wary of this to begin with. if they’re making a point of talking this garbage up in advance, i’m definitely out completely.

Apparently Darlene and David's son in the show is going to enjoy wearing girls clothes, and Darlene is very much liberal so it's going to have a lot about family political conflict. It's gonna get the ratings they want, and be plenty talked about.

I'm pretty torn on whether to watch it or not to be honest.

I mean, she's not wrong; so many of the characters definitely seem like exactly the kind of people to get swept up in the Trump stuff. If it's supposed to be topical like it was before, then it would be pretty disingenuous to make the characters not along those lines.
