I am 100% here for any and all Veronica Mars content that Rob Thomas wants to make.

I dunno. That movie really blew.

I liked it, he even did a novel with those characters(with Kristen Bell narrating the audiobook and doing imitations of everyone else's voices) that I liked it too. I won't try to convince anyone that any of it is good TV/film(outside maybe the first season), but it is very much my aesthetic.

I thought we had a True Detective thread but I couldn't seem to track it down.

If anyone is still watching, Mr Robot will end after the upcoming season 4.

That's disappointing. I've really been enjoying that show.

Yeah the show really rebounded from a bit of a down season 2. The one with the

Spoiler: show
riot at the Evilcorp building

was probably my favorite episode of tv from last year, non Leftovers division.

Batman the Animated Series is being remastered to HD, and released on blu-ray, and the first two seasons on the DC streaming service. This is the opening title sequence, with the original on the left and the remaster on the right.

I saw that and thought, "zah?" I've got the DVD's, and they are not the fuzzy, stuttering mess on the left.

Fun fact: cartoons were still on 35mm back then, so I'm assuming that's what the left is in its current form. This helpful person made a comparison video of the DVD version vs. the new remastered version:

And hey! The new version looks great! But that first video is...weird.

Is it just me that prefers the original version?

Huh, I didn't even question it, but now that I look through some comments on the first video, a lot of folks said the same thing. I'd say that seems really unnecessary, but I bought into it....

The new one still looks a lot better, imo.

I've never used Hulu. I already have too much content.

A coworker is watching it, and he loves it, but he's also a Stephen King freak...so I have a hard time knowing if my popular-movie-only knowledge of Stephen King will be sufficient to enjoy it the same way.

I am absolutely not a Stephen King fan, and this show is amazing. I was worried that the Stephen King references would be hokey (Shawshank prison is involved), but it doesn’t play on that at all. It might be the best show I’ve seen. It’s that good.
